The latest update (20 October 2009) adds more information on the Hawker family from Thornbury, Gloucestershire,
descended from John Hawker and Sarah Summers who married in 1770. Several members of the family emigrated to
Australia around 1853, as did members of the related Burroughs family.
The update is thanks to excellent information provided by a descendant of the family.
Previous updates, added an extra generation to the Hawker family with Robert Hauker born about 1645
and more of his descendants. This comes from the excellent Sumner Genealogy site.
