"We also have some research from wills of James and his father Henry. In
our information Henry (married to Ann Barton and father of James) had a
brother named William who married Isabella Smith in 1787. They had
children- James (another!- who married Mary Kershaw in 1813), Robert,
Ann and Grace. There is no mention in our records of another brother
named Robert that you have listed."

Isaac 30 Jan 1842 -- he married but I have misplaced data on him
Emily 28 April 1844 buried 15 Jan 1864 both events Eldersfield
Harriet 8 June 1846 at Eldersfield Church
James 9 March 1850 at Eldersfield Church
the Sarah Ann living with them in 1871 censusOur direct line
Louisa Hodges HAWKER must have married John BARTLETT
some time before the birth of their first child in 1857 as the child was
baptized as parents John and Louisa BARTLETT
but we can not find the record of the marriage
We have studied the Eldersfield Parish Church records for the marriage
also Forthampton ,Tewskbury, Castlemorton, even Saint Swithen's Worcester.
It is only the past few weeks that I discovered the Louisa HAWKER in the
free BMD on line page for Upton for 1854 that I started wondering if this is
our Louisa however as she is listed with a Henry FINCH I hoped someone with
access to the 1851 census CD for Worcestershire could find another Louisa
HAWKER of a marriagable age or referance to Henry FINCH as I can not find
him in the 1881 census ( the only census I can access here in Australia )
We have a photograph of Louisa nee HAWKER as an elderly lady if you would
like a copy let us know.
Also if all goes to plan we will be comming to England in 2004 to further
our Family History studies and plan to spend some time in the
Gloucestershire Records Office and the Worcester Records Office perhaps then
we will uncover the mystery.
Sincerely Rhonda Bartlett
See notes for his father, Thomas Hawker.
