I have been told that in the Walsall census of 1861 at Little London appear the family Joseph (Head, Nail Plater), Ann (Wife), George (Son), John (Son). I have not yet checked this information.
Information provided by Eric Rock suggests that Katey Rock was probably the daughter of Joseph Sadler and Elizabeth Roberts. They were publicans at the White Hart public House at 56 Caldmore Wlasall in 1871. Elizabeth committed suicide at the White Hart on 1 September 1874 and Joseph died at the White Hart on 7 April 1875.

Living in 1891 census at Leamore Lane, Walsall with his wife Mary A Rock previously BIRKS) nee Robertson, with their children John and Charlotte Birks, Sarah, Thomas and Henry Rock. I have found no trace of this Samuel Rock in the 1881 census on CD.
In the 1881 census she is shown as being born in Scotland. In a letter from Jean Suffolk to Eric Rock dated 13.AUG.2000, Jean states that the 1891 census shows Mary as born in Walsall.

Although shown as "imbecile" in the 1881 census, he may have been simply blind. The following comment from the Staffordshire Genealogy mailing list on the Internet, unrelated to this particular case, is illustrative:
"I just followed your advice, Gary and checked out the Lancashire County
Lunatic Asylum. Although I didn't find any ancestors I was struck by the fact
that, although many were described as "lunatic, idiot or imbecile" there
were also a great number described simply as "blind". This would appear to
have been enough to have one committed."
Notes on the 1891 census made by Jean Suffolk show the additional children added since the 1881 census.
